Trophy Club dates back to 1847 when Charles and Matilda Medlin, along with twenty other families left Missouri by wagon to settle along Elizabeth (Denton) Creek in Elizabethtown, Texas (the strip of land just across from the Texas Motor Speedway). The Medlin's wanted to acquire large tracts of land but flooding issues along Elizabeth Creek forced them to the area that is now Trophy Club. One legacy of the Medlins is the Medlin Cemetary. The early development of Trophy Club, Roanoke, Westlake and North-west Fort Worth was due to Texas and Pacific Railroad. In the 1970s John McMackin (Fort Worth law firm (4 comments)
