silicon valley associates: Why do people live in the past

As a producing Broker / Owner I have the privilege of not just meeting with agents and loan officers on a daily basis but clients as well. It's amazing to me how agents, loan officers and clients all live in the past. For example, I’ll interview an agent and he’ll say "back in the day I did 30 deals a year" or a client will say " my house was worth $800,000". Although I believe there is value in being aware of the past, I have a problem with people being stuck in it. I don't care that interest rates used (10 comments)
