2016 has been one of the most competitive housing markets for buyers in years. Interest rates are still historically low, but competition for each house (with such low inventory) has been fierce. When you are able to buy in the fall, this season has historically less competition for Framingham and metrowest homes. The reason is kids are in school, ad the holidays are just around the corner. Todays market favors both sellers and buyers for completely different reasons in Framingham and Metrowest Ma. Sellers are benefiting in Framingma , the Metrowest towns and Norfolk County, by such low inventory that almost every home if in good condition, where have multiple offers. This means more sellers will get the profit they want when selling in Ma.in 2016. They will get homes sold at asking or over asking prices.
