Charity Island is the largest island in Saginaw Bay, in the Michigan waters of Lake Huron. The island is 222 acres and has about 3 miles of shoreline.

So when I heard about Charity Island Excursions I signed up for their monthly newsletter. The March issue talks about "Shirley Ann" departing from East Tawas State Dock this summer, dinner cruises, wildflowers of the islands, bird watching, homemade corn chowder and french bread at the lighthouse.
