Pending home sales increased but with notable regional variations, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). A forward looking indicator, rose 2.1% based on contracts signed in February. The data reflects contracts and not closings, which normally occur with a lag time of 1 or 2 months. A sale is listed as pending when the contract has been signed but the transaction has not closed. Pending home sales have trended up very nicely since bottoming out last June, even with periodic monthly declines. Good news for Oxford Township MI residents who live and drive on those gravel roads, their daily rides are about to get a whole lot smoother. Last week, the township board voted 5 - 1 to allocate its $55,443 in Tri-Party Program funds toward the purchase of gravel to spread on approximately 5.8 miles of local roads.
