family: Can I call you back? I’m at my daughters softball game. - 05/16/15 12:58 AM
Can I call you back? I’m at my daughters softball game.
Priorities. I don’t usually take calls when I’m at an important event. Important being relative to the person defining it. My “important,”  in this case Claire’s softball games. I do take calls from priority people during these special events if at all possible.
Determining who’s priority and who’s not? That’s easy. Family, friends, clients, and colleagues are my priorities, always. Unknown numbers, out of area calls and my lead calls - yes, I said it outloud, my lead calls are not a priority. Why? That’s easy. If we haven’t met, I’d … (5 comments)

family: Speechless Sunday ~ Curling up - 01/04/15 11:10 AM
Speechless Sunday ~ Some days its best just to curl up on the couch with your best friend.

I hope you had a relaxing Sunday. Me, I did some long overdue file purging and office re-organizing. I'm exhausted. The post I was working on will have to wait until another day.

family: A precious moment. Happy Birthday Hubby! - 12/04/14 01:20 PM
In honor of hubby's birthday I thought I'd share a picture. The photo speaks to his true character. Chris (hubby), Claire (the savvy photographer aka daughter) and I went to dinner at the Green Turtle in Westminster following the Miracle on Main Street Parade last Saturday evening. We were cold, tired and hungry.
The host sat us next to a family of four, a mom, a dad and two children, a boy and a girl, who had finished their meal.
The little girl was fascinated by my Chris' whiskers. He had back to her so she said … (2 comments)

family: What are your Easter traditions? Carroll County, MD - 04/23/14 01:49 AM

Did you dye eggs this year for Easter? Holidays are often shared with traditional food, events and activities. One of my favorites, also my childrens favorites has been dying Easter eggs. It’s fun, creative and creates a memory that far exceeds the new clothes and treat filled baskets.
This year Claire decorated most of the eggs herself. The eggs turned out beautiful and tasted delicious! Next year we may try the tips shared in this cute video DIY Vibrant Egg Colors by Brooklyn and Bailey are as vibrant as their eggs and twice as cute!

family: Westminster, MD Sakura, a family favorite - 11/10/12 12:25 PM
Westminster, MD Sakura, a family favoriteTonight our family went to one of our favorite restaurants in Westminster, MD Sakura!Sakura is a Japanese steak & seafood house and Sushi Bar “Where everything happens before your eyes.” It’s a very different dining experience. If you have never been, I highly recommend it. I’m not very adventurous when it comes to food, I’m not overly picky, however, if I am going to pay for a meal I want to enjoy it. A few years ago my family talked me into going to Sakura. Reluctantly, I went, I’m so glad I did! To say it’s … (3 comments)

family: Day 4: What I am thankful for? My brother Dave! - 11/04/12 09:34 AM
Day 4: What I am thankful for? My Brother Dave! There are a only handful of extremely important men in my life. My Dad, my Hubby, my sons Mike & Cole, my nephews Nick & Brandon and my Brother Dave.
Dave is, my first and lifelong  best friend. He  is never more than a phone call away. I love hanging out with my big brother, talking, laughing, having dinner, working on projects, or just being together. Dave is a sounding board, an advisor, a confident.
Dave & I share more than just our parents, grandparents and extended families. We … (2 comments)

Day 2: What I am thankful for? My three amazing children! All very individual loving, intelligent, kind  people. When your first child is born, you know you have received an amazing gift from God. Your heart is so full of love it hurts. That’s Mike, in the Dr. Pepper shirt. When your second child comes along you wonder how could I love this one as much? It’s really indescribable however, you realize, he’s different from the first, you love him equally and for his own special traits. That’s Cole, on the left in the ball cap, my second Gift from God. … (6 comments)

Motivational Monday  ~ Brothers & Sisters
Have I introduced you to my brother Dave? Well, here we are side by side just before his daughter's wedding a few weeks ago. I adore my brother and love any opportunity to spend time with him and get a rare photo.

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time. - Clara … (10 comments)

Wordless Wednesday ~ Just the boys checking out the Mustang!
Spring fever has Mike, like many others,  thinking about modifications he can make to his treasured Mustang GT.  Tweaking the already striking good looks of his muscle machine and adding more power is always the objective. Asking for Dad’s experienced opinion Mike got more than he expected when Mater had to get in on the conversation. Too cute! My favorite men around a beautiful car enjoying life. Life is all about the moments.

 Silent Sunday ~ Heather & Buddy’s Wedding

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always per servers.”1 Corinthians 13:4-7Wishing you a lifetime of joy.Silent Sunday ~ Heather & Buddy’s Wedding

family: Wordless Wednesday ~ Lincoln Speedway ~ Icebreaker 30 - 02/29/12 01:51 AM
Wordless Wednesday ~ Lincoln Speedway ~ ICEBREAKER 30There is something exhilarating about the roar of the engines  and the sweet smell of racing fuel in the air. We could hardly wait for the first hot laps to begin. This past Saturday was opening day at Lincoln Speedway, it’s called the ICEBREAKER because it’s held the last Saturday of February and it’s usually cold. Saturday was no exception, in fact the we were under a wind advisory! It honestly wasn’t bad, cold yes but not the coldest we have attended. The Icebreaker a limited race day, by that I mean only the … (2 comments)
