debbie nieman realtor: Taking Care of your Seller at What Cost? - 04/13/16 02:57 AM
Doing the right thing to take care of your clients as a Real Estate Professional is something I believe and live by.  I have found not all agents feel the same way.
When you take a listing your number one purpose is to get that property sold for your client for the most money in the least amount of time.  If that means opening the property for another agent’s client once in a while, you do that- it doesn’t make them your client or so I thought…..
Recently I was thrown into a situation that I don’t understand.  I have a buyer – … (3 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: Brunch Down Memory Lane at Wimpys - 01/20/16 11:54 AM
A couple Sundays again, I took my son out for brunch. Like usual, I told him to pick and he suggested Wimpy’s Paradise in Downtown Chandler. I had never been there before, but he said, “trust me mom, it’s delicious.” Boy was he right—like usual.
Wimpy’s Paradise is more than your usual hole-in-the-wall, small family diner in the East Valley. It was once part of Pittsburgh Willys in Gilbert, but now, it’s all under one roof in Chandler. During the week, it serves fresh burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. On Sundays, it has a breakfast menu with … (0 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: Shopping in the 21st Century - 11/27/15 11:14 PM
With all the holidays we celebrate, my favorite has always been Thanksgiving. Not because it was my mom’s favorite, which it was, but because Thanksgiving is a holiday that has nothing to do with gifts. Thanksgiving is a day to get together and celebrate with family, friends, and loved ones.
When I was little, I remember Thanksgiving as the time to over eat, laugh, being silly, and play games. It was all about getting together and sharing memories. We can talk about the origin of Thanksgiving and the Pilgrims coming to America, but for me, it was so much more.
To me, Thanksgiving … (2 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: Breakfast and Lunch in Chandler, Arizona - 11/16/15 11:34 PM
Fresh. Healthy. Delicious. Those are the three words I would use to describe the food at the Original ChopShop Co. in Chandler. After just one visit, ChopShop is now a part of my East Valley breakfast rotation.  One of my clients turned me on to this place. She insisted I check this out after she read my review on Earnest Restaurant.
Located off Boston St. in Downtown Chandler, The Original ChopShop Co. offers an assortment of breakfast and lunch options, as well as a smoothies and fresh juices. Everything here is fresh and made to order, which is probably why it tastes … (1 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: Keeping in Touch with Clients after Closing - 11/13/15 12:48 AM
If you are a real estate professional getting those clients and closing the transaction is what we do.
Then what?  For me, communication and keeping in touch with my past clients is more about building that relationship then asking for referrals (which is a definite plus and I do).
Many of my clients are first time home buyers that are very green about what to do after they move in and the sinks back up.  There is no property management company to call because they are their own property managers sort of speaking. I am there to assist with a plumber or a year … (16 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: My Review of Earnest, Chandler’s New American Bistro - 10/27/15 06:36 AM
Last weekend I tried a new restaurant in Chandler called Earnest—it was amazing. Located on the SE corner of Chandler Heights and Alma School, Earnest is a modern bistro with everything you could want: fantastic food, gorgeous décor, full-size patio, great service, and a huge wine selection.
Right when you walk in, the first thing you notice is their wine collection, which is on display behind a big, clear-glass wall. There must have been at least 300 bottles. It looked heavenly. The hostess was very friendly and took us to our patio table. When we sat down, she handed us an … (0 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: Hiking in East Valley- Phoenix - 09/29/15 12:24 PM
After another hot and miserable summer, I’m happy to say it’s finally cooling off soon (I hope)—meaning hiking season is back and around the corner. I’ve been waiting six months, but now, I can finally lace up my Nike's and hit the trails. Hiking is one of my favorite outdoor activities when I’m not blowing bubbles scuba diving. It allows me to play outside, enjoy nature, and get a great workout in. But if you’re like me, hiking the same trails over and over again, or battling the crowds, is not quite my idea of fun. So, to help you out, here … (1 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: What should we offer? - 08/06/15 12:24 PM
What should we offer is a question I get asked along with How much below the asking price should I offer?  That question is one that Realtors and Buyers debate on a daily basis.
If the seller’s agent does their job and prices the property properly (meaning near or at current market pricing) then you should offer the asking price.  Often I get buyers who believe they are not getting a deal unless they offer a price that is less than what the seller is wanting. I will explain to them if their asking price was $ 10,000 less than what you … (0 comments)

debbie nieman realtor: Ahwatukee Custom Estates - 07/31/15 05:21 AM
When you think of Ahwatukee Custom Estates also know as Equestrian Estates what do you think of?  Equestrian by definition is a rider or horseman of horses so naturally equestrian estates would be a place to keep horses correct?  Partially correct as it is so much more than that.
Tucked into the majestic South Mountain Ahwatukee Custom Estates is a great place to hike and bike ride along with entertain your family and friends. There are riding trails along with an area set aside for the horse owner.  In Ahwatukee Custom Estates you will find most homes sitting on a lot that is larger than your standard … (1 comments)
