realtor: CT REALTOR RALLY - 05/15/17 05:41 AM
Last week 40 Realtors from Newtown, CT joined 2,000 of our colleagues outside of the Capitol in Hartford, CT at Bushnell Park.  Our presence and numbers were so great our State Legislators had no choice but to leave the Capitol and join us on the lawn for the Realtor Rally.  They saw us, felt our presence and heard our message loud and clear.  Give us a Connecticut we can sell!! Special thank you to Mitch Bolinsky for taking the time to come and say hello.

realtor: Do you know the activities in your neighborhood? - 04/13/16 09:15 AM
...Or the neighborhood youre selling in?
I've said this before, but in my opinion it's very important to 'know your neighborhood'.  Now for the real estate agents reading this, have you ever thought about the importance of actually knowing a neighborhood you're selling in?  Or taking clients to buy in?  One of the main concerns for many buyers is what's around.. what schools, malls, stores, restaurants, parks.  With this blog entry I'd just like to offer a tool on my website landauhomes.com.  If you visit the link, hover over 'Our Community' on the top, then click on 'Points of Interest' in the … (17 comments)

realtor: Tip of the day: Have a Social Presence! - 04/06/16 08:13 AM
Working by referrals is a very popular way to get clients...
So having a social presence is extremely important, at least in my opinion. Obviously the way of referral is the way many agents get clients. A referral can be as simple as an introduction to someone the Realtor hasn’t met yet. Smart agents experiment with different types of ad campaigns, and they keep records on what works and doesn’t work. Smart agents also understand that having a social presence is important as well as being active with their clients through social media, and even through more traditional methods such as postcard mailings. Postcards and … (2 comments)

realtor: Use your tools!! - 04/05/16 09:07 AM

Real Estate Agents are provided with countless tools...
For example, tools to keep track of clients and their info, tools to keep track of client interactions, tools to keep track of houses to show clients... Basically what I'm getting at is, it's all about the clients!  It can get difficult keeping track of every desire of a client and seeing as that's what it's all about, there have been several websites and programs to aid in the organization process.
I've recently been pleasantly rewarded after using one of these tools to their best advantage.  I'm sure many agents have heard of Referral … (0 comments)

realtor: Town homes in Sandy Hook? - 04/01/16 08:42 AM
Although they've been up and running for some time now... ..They often go unseen.  I know people who work in Newtown that aren't even aware of their existence! It's called Greenview.  It's a brand-new 26 unit community of townhomes.  What's interesting about these units is that there is no age restriction!  Each home in the complex has hard-wood floors, granite countertops, maple cabinets, garages, gas heat, central air, and patios, and/or decks.  These homes also have finished basements! If you or your client are interested in seeking a home in a beautiful country town, Newtown is the place to venture!  Especially Sandy Hook, … (0 comments)

realtor: Tip of the day: Network! - 03/28/16 08:34 AM
A great agent has an even greater network...      It's true, it really is good to know people, especially in this business.  It's not enough to have a hefty client-base.  It's also important to network.  By network, I mean make connections!   A successfu agent should have a network of people who provide the same level of service that they do.  As a Real Estate Agent, you should know the best (in your opinion) contractors, appraisers, lenders, and insurance providers in the industry.  An agent should work as the epicenter of an even larger being that involves people who help and … (1 comments)

realtor: I dont give up until its SOLD - 01/06/16 12:35 AM
My clients came to me at the end of 2014 to sell their house. A 5 Bedroom Colonial in the King St area of Danbury Ct. Piece of cake right? New septic, legal in law, crown mouldings, easy commute, $15,000 less then the almost idenical colonial across the street. Should sell quick, even in this market.
Well, it didnt.
Fast forward 1 year to October of 2015. Dozens of showings,  hours and hours of open houses, multiple price reductions, flyers, internet post and frustrated sellers. Even though I communicated and kept my clients updated weekly, I felt I wasn't doing enough, because the … (1 comments)
