Let It Snow-Photos Of Morris Cove New Haven Connecticut In the past couple of weeks we've been hit with our share of snow up here in the Northeast with the most recent storm hitting our area again last night and a forecast of more this evening. Before going out on a couple of appointments this afternoon I grabbed my camera and tok a drive through Morris Cove to snap some pictures around Fort Hale Park and Lighthouse Point Park. We have definitely hit the dog days of summer over the past couple of weeks with the high temperatures and humidity we've been experiencing along the Southern Connecticut shoreline. The cool ocean breezes that flow through the neighborhood of Morris Cove in New Haven CT has helped to lessen that heat and humidity to a bit lesser degree. This evening my husband and I took my granddaughter to Lighthouse Point Park so we could watch the beatiful sunset this evening and take in the sights of a few boaters and jet skiers near the boat ramp. If you're looking for a unique and antique treasure, it's time to visit The Historic Carousel at Lighthouse Point Park located on the east side of the New Haven Harbor in the community of Morris Cove. Built in 1916 the carousel has 72 figures mounted on a 60 foot platform. What a great weekend it was to have fun in the sun at Lighthouse Point Park in the Morris Cove neighborhood of New Haven Connecticut. My 6 year old granddaughter Brooke was visiting for the long weekend and living only a short distance away from Lighthouse Point Park, we decided to take a little visit to the park. As you near the entrance to the beach, the first thing you see is the Splash Pad where children and adults frolic in a variety of water stations with water sprinkling and splashing from all directions.
