halton hills: Milton Home Owners How To Get The Price You Want - 11/22/07 02:37 AM
What's the biggest mistake you can make selling your home? Real Estate professionals are unanimous on this issue:Picking the wrong list price.

They, and their Real Estate Agents, know what's going on in the market and recognize an overpriced home when they see one.
Will they offer you a lower-priced contract or wait around until you drop your price? Not likely. … (0 comments)

Let me tell you my experience in the past month since I began the 10/10/20. Ralph Roberts introduce me to this simple yet effective way of getting known in my community. Every time I list or sell a house I knock on 10 doors to the left and right and 20 across the street handing out my postcard with a hand written note letting the neighbors know that I have listed or sold their neighbors home. If it is my buyer I sold a house to I will take a picture of them and on the postcard I would put the … (1 comments)

halton hills: Tips to selling your home, for top dollar. - 05/17/07 09:58 AM
Your motivation to sell your home should be kept to yourself, it will affect everything from how you price your home, how long you wish to be on the market, how much effort you are willing to put into preparing your home for showings.
If you wish to have a quick sale you might want to price your home sharpe, remove clutter from rooms to give a larger appearance and have the lawns mowed and gardens in bloom.
If you wish to maximize your dollar, you might take the time to give your home a fresh paint job inside and out, replace flooring if … (0 comments)

halton hills: 20% down conventional mortgage in Canada - 05/08/07 02:46 PM
The definition of a "conventional mortgage" has now changed in Canada, making the dream of home ownership more affordable.
Until now in Canadians needed to place a whopping 25% down payment on their homes to avoid having to buy mortgage insurance. A recent amendment to the Bank Act now allows borrowers to obtain conventional financing, free of the added expense of mortgage insurance, with a 20 percent down payment.
This 5 percent drop is significant for the average home buyer. On $200,000 property, instead of having to come up with a down payment of $50,000, a buyer needs only $40,000 to avoid paying … (0 comments)

halton hills: why talking to much can kill the deal - 04/09/07 03:28 PM
I find the problem with most sales people is they talk to much and don't listen.  I was just out on a presentation with one of the agents from my office who was trying to convince a buyer to buy a house, now only if she would ask the right the questions shut up, and listen to what the buyer was saying.  Maybe we could of helped a buyer and a seller finish their journey much quicker with less stress.
Why do you think sales people feel the need to tell tell tell the prospect why they should buy a home … (7 comments)
