We have seen a slow down in activity over the same time as last year. When you look at it our number of homes that sold this year were down by 17 and the condo/villas were down by 21. The days on market were up on both; homes up 9 days and condo/villas (6 comments)

Let me introduce you to a growing community known as O Fallon MO my home. I have lived here since 1993, the year of the great flood. At that time O'Fallon was still a sleepy little town. Highway K was a 2 lane road right after Fiese Rd. I looked at Monticello Subdivision, which was being built at that time, and said that ‘I'm not living that far out!" Mexico Rd. did not cross Hwy. K, you either turned left to go out to Hwy. 40/61 or go right to go to Hwy. 70. Believe it or not the last stoplight (0 comments)
All REO & foreclosures are not the same......In my post on this topic, dated 3/30/08, I talked about a buyer that was foreclosed on and everyone knew that they shouldn't have bought in the price range that they bought in. Maybe they could've purchased another home in a lower price range. I believe that it is part of our agency responsibility to counsel our clients in the buying process. We have been reading and listening to national news media about the Real Estate bubble bursting. In addition, we hear, the housing market slump is having a negative effect on the economy and asking the question, "When will it end?". Just in case the national media hasn't heard, 2007 was the 5th best year in real estate since NAR has been keeping records and I might add, that is behind 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. In doing a study about the real estate market in St. Charles County Missouri this is what I found out:
