active rain: Elizabeth Street Cafe ~ "Foodie" Friday 3/29/19 - 03/12/19 12:42 PM
Spring break has come and gone and SXSW is over so Austin is back to the locals (at least for awhile). If you are looking for something new and different and are feeling adventuresome in your dining out choice this week-end, try this Vietnamese café on South First St. in Austin. It's exudes a fun, neighborly experience!

A cool, but sunny and clear week-end in Austin. My new listing came on line with great showing activity and another one will be entered into the MLS today. We had good friends to the house for dinner Saturday night and my open house on Saint Patrick's Day was a success! Handsome Hudson and Beautiful Beckett left this morning with their family to ski in Montana! New adventure for Team Dunham!
Did you know where the most Instagrammable places in Austin are?

active rain: Joann's Fine Foods ~ "Foodie" Friday 3/22/19 - 03/06/19 01:51 PM
I love Austin and we have such a vibe that makes us unique! South Congress Ave. is an icon of downtown Austin.  One of the special things that make the area so special is an all-day diner, located in the Austin Motel in SoCo. They understand how to keep Austin weird.
Joann's pays homage to the classic diner way of life. But, instead of a greasy spoon you'll find custom china and monogrammed napkins. There are leather booths, chrome bar stools surrounding the red counters and an open kitchen.  There's also overhead pendant lighting, decorative stained glass and beaded … (16 comments)

active rain: (Almost) Wordless Wednesday ~ Background noise..trendsetter - 02/25/19 08:23 AM

Beautiful Beckett had a full dance card this week-end! She went to a birthday party on Saturday morning, cheered her brother on at his last flag football game Saturday afternoon, came to Nana and Paw Paw's 25th Wedding Anniversary Party Saturday night and on Sunday had another friends birthday party to attend. She likes to dress herself so she felt her turquoise party dress was in order along with her white furry jacket! The hat was the crowing touch.... Beckett.....such a trend setter..walking the runway! (notice Hudson in the background making how you can fade that background noise out..LOL!!)

active rain: Hula Hut ~ "Foodie" Friday 2/22/19 - 02/19/19 12:16 PM
There's a tropical paradise right here in Austin, TX that's been serving Austinites for over 2 decades. Today is National Margarita Day and guess whose serving Margaritas for $1? There is no better place to be tonight than my recommendation!
Hula Hut

It's been a busy week-end. Made it to Hudson's soccer game (he is a good player and now playing in 2 leagues). Hudson and family came over to spend time with Geno.. a hot UNO game transpired! The first time in months I've been able to get Geno out for oysters for an early date night and it went well. Helped a seller with some paint choices for the interior of their home (coming on the market hopefully mid April). Worked on taxes almost ready for the accountant.

Its a cold day in Austin this morning..... Twenty six degrees! We didn't make the awards gala in San Antonio for the Regional Coldwell Banker Awards but my daughter Melissa accepted my #3 Top Agent award. I did make Hudson's first soccer game and watched him make several goals. Hudson and his dad came out after to play a game of "Sorry" with Geno. It made his day and these impromptu family visits are the best medicine ever! I showed a new listing to some buyer clients but it really isn't the right fit for them and we will keep looking. It's a wrap! 25th wedding anniversary and we did celebrate...we decided the best way to have a party was catered at home considering Geno's condition. We all decided it was the best idea we've had in a long time! Fresh Leis flown in from Hawaii for everyone in remembrance of our honeymoon was a surprise for guests!
My new listing went under contract in less than a day and we are negotiating repairs. I will be presenting another listing coming on the market in a few weeks and a scheduled a listing appointment this morning.
Did you know the rush to Austin by Silicon Valley companies continues?

We've had some beautiful days in Austin..Friday it was 87 degrees! Family has been taking turns coming over for an early dinner to spend time with Geno. These visits have done wonders for Geno's spirits as he continues to get his strength back. On Valentines Day I received  2 dozen beautiful white empress roses from favorites. I was able to make Hudson's flag football game and have a new listing on track to be staged today.
Did you know that Austin has 300+ parks and 18,600+ acres of park land?

What a Superbowl game! Congratulations to the Patriots for a well fought and deserved win. If you haven't read the featured post by Endre Barath, Jr. you's a great explanation of how they keep accomplishing these victories with a great analogy for us in real estate!
