appreciation: Serendipity Sundays ~ How Lucky Am I - 05/01/21 02:39 PM
I feel so blessed to have my two children live and work in Austin and even sharing a profession I love….real estate.
My daughter and her husband have 3 children, Hailey, Trey and Maggie. My son and his wife have two children Hudson and Beckett. I admit my grands are the “apple of my eye” and I feel so fortunate to be a part of their lives as they grow up. My grans range in age from 6 to 25. Loving each other and having fun together is the easiest thing they do! Each one of them brings a smile to my … (16 comments)

appreciation: Business Tip of the week - 05/13/11 12:54 AM
Candy Buzan with Prime Lending right here in Austin, Texas has an awesome business letter that she emails.  Several weeks ago she sent out a Business Tip for the week which I still have sitting on my desk and I made time today to make sure I implement her advice: Two of the most powerful words in business are "Thank You".  Let your customers and employees know how much you appreciate them.  Say "Thank-You" often. Even better, write them a note - not an email, text or tweet, but an old-fashioned handwritten, personal note!  I composed 3 personal notes already today to vendors … (24 comments)

appreciation: What's Up With Four or Better? - 03/25/11 04:26 AM
What's up with four or better?  We enjoy in our office a host of top producers. Many agents have been in our office for more than 10 years..what's up with that? The answer, of course, is our Broker Vanessa Bivens...better known (as Gene named her) the "Chief".  Her retention rate is very high.  She know show to create a competitive and caring working environment, takes care of her agents by keeping us supplied with the latest tools, makes sure we enjoy the thrill of participating in giving back to our community, is always there for us making each one feel important … (8 comments)

appreciation: It's Nice To Know Your Efforts Are Appreciated - 09/26/10 12:54 AM
It's nice to know your efforts are appreciated...Recently I received a nice letter from some wonderful clients I worked with last spring.  Reference letters are valued as most of my sellers move out of state.  A letter can be included in my marketing materials for future clients to review so they can read what past clients have to say concerning their experience in working with me.  It's always nice to feel appreciated:

I provide marketing products and services that ignite action.  From finding new customers to energizing the ones I know and love, my tools can help stimulate the … (18 comments)

appreciation: Motivational Monday - 09/19/10 11:43 PM
As I drive to work I pass by the Unity Church of the Hills on Anderson Mill Rd. in Austin, Texas.  I always love to read their electronic message board with their thought of the week.
Their message this past week was:
"Appreciation can make a day, even change a life"
The message reminded me of a post Pat Kennedy created last week: Making Her Day.  Both messages drive home how important it is to be compassionate, caring and appreciative to those around you.
You can make a difference and as Pat said.."it doesn't take much!"

appreciation: How To Know If You'll Be Missed - 03/22/10 12:41 PM

The workplace has changed.  I see many agents experiencing the grass is greener syndrome at the beginning of each year.  Many look down at their production and blame it on the broker not giving them enough leads..not feeling appreciated for what they contribute or just having apathy with their office and co-workers.  Other industries experience similar scenarios as workers are asked to leave or no longer feel attachment and loyalty to their management or feel respected or valued and actively seek employment elsewhere.  The atmosphere of cooperation and caring are essential to maintain productivity and success.
A friend of ours, Bill … (14 comments)

appreciation: Showing You Care - 02/10/10 08:51 AM

Everyone likes to feel someone cares.  We all like to feel appreciated, respected and valued.  Some are better at showing their appreciation than others.  Usually when you have the ability to show your family and friends you care it comes naturally when you are in business.  If you are weak in this area it is a trait worth developing in all areas in your life.
Alamo Title Company is a company that believes in service and showing gratefulness to its employees as well as its clients.  Yesterday at their North Mopac location they hosted a fun Valentine Open House " Champagne … (6 comments)
