coffee: UNANSWERED QUESTIONS - 08/02/10 07:25 AM
A friend pointed out there are many questions in life that remain unanswered.  Do you have an answer for any of these?
* Ever wonder about those people who spend $2.00 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water?  Try spelling Evian backwards: NAIVE
* If 4 out of 5 people SUFFER from diarrhea...does that mean that one enjoys it?
* Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultry?
* Why do croutons come in airtight packages?  Aren't they just stale bread to begin with?
* Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety-one?

coffee: Roasters NW Austin ~ Best Coffee Around - 07/28/10 10:46 AM
One of my clients moved downtown from NW Austin and told me she was really going to miss "Roasters" on Hwy 620 (located between Hwy 183 and Lake Creek Parkway).  She loves their lattes and their Haven Loaf!
I had driven by but never stopped but considering her discriminating taste I decided to stop and check them out.  To my surprise they are in the same center as VIVO's which we just patronized last weekend.
Well she was right...their lattes are excellent and the Haven Loaf was delicious.  The facility is comfy, cozy and without a doubt a good place to … (8 comments)

coffee: My New Best Friend: COFFEE FILTERS - 01/19/10 09:39 AM

2. Clean windows, mirrors and chrome...Coffee filters are lint-free so they'll leave windows sparkling.
3. Protect china by separating your good dishes with a coffee filter between each dish.
4. Filter broken cork from wine.  If you break the cork when opening a wine bottle, filter the wine through a coffee filter.
5. Protect a cast … (35 comments)

coffee: A CUPCAKE PALACE OF PLEASURE - 05/28/09 07:02 AM

When you or someone you know is truly deserving of a treat then check out the "Cupprimo".  Located on the Southwest corner of Hwy.183 and Spicewood Springs Rd. in an aging strip center in NW Austin.
It's a great cupcakery and coffee spot featuring cupcakes like grandma used to make.
Austin Monthly even sites the Cupprimo cupcakes in the top 50 Fabulous Foodie Finds!

I ventured in and got 2 iced lattes and carrot cupcakes...mouth watering delicious!!
They have been open a year this month and are opening another location in Round Rock.  They have $1.9 12oz. … (4 comments)
