In 2010 we were fortunate enough to visit Petra, Jordan, one of the world’s greatest wonders. It was hot..118 degrees but it was worth it to experience this unique city carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataneans who were Arab people who settled there more than 2,000 years ago.The only way you could navigate was by walking or riding donkeys or camels. They refer to Petra as “A Rose Red City Half as old as Time.”It’s probably a journey we wouldn’t attempt now but I’m so glad we slipped in and were able to cross this off our bucket … (5 comments)
