You won’t want to miss the 8th annual Domain Tree Lighting Holiday event on Saturday, November 22, 2014. You’ll find live musical performances and entertainment by local schools, craft activities, face painting, caricature drawings and balloon animal making. The holiday activities take place from noon -5pm at the Domain 11 at the new event lawn and the lighting of the tree will take place right in front of Macy’s at 6pm with the live music! Hugh Downs once said, "A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes."It's always heartwarming when someone does something nice when you are least expecting a kindness.  
It can be as simple as a stranger opening a door for you, smiling and wishing you a pleasant day! There are random acts of kindness that many enjoy practicing.  They derive immense pleasure from putting a smile on someone's face.

Another annual event was held in "The Domain" in Austin as another Saturday night fireworks exploded at 8pm.  The best spot to take advantage of the fireworks display is the parking lot between the Macy store and Dick's Sporting Goods which just opened!
On center stage (right out off the patio of North Restaurant) Christmas Carolers, complete with fabulous old time costumes, sang us our favorite Christmas music!  

All that was needed were snowflakes falling (not likely) and the scene would be complete (it was a balmy 69 degrees).Our church, River Bend, will be performing December 4th from 7-9pm for … (4 comments)

 What a great night at the Domain! The giant Christmas Tree in front of Macy's was lit and people of all ages clamored to be a part of this annual event! 
Throngs of people milled around waiting to "ooh and aah" over the tree and got to do it again when the fireworks went off! It was a magical evening!
