My mom was born in Junction City, Kansas on August 15, 1917.  She graduated from Iowa State University in Home Economics and met my dad while she was a student. This picture was taken while she was in college.  Rather a stylish lady wouldn’t you say?  I’m sure she designed and sewed the dress she was wearing...she had quite a talent which we all appreciated as she created our suits and dresses growing up! Easter outfits were always sensational...miss you mom.

November 2011 was a closing month for sellers in Canyon Creek.  Remember last month in my post I stated in September buyers sat on the fence and didn't make offers until October so couldn't possibly close until November.
The number of homes closed in November 2011 was up a whopping 75% compared to last year in November!  This year buyers took advantage of the lower priced larger homes.  With low interest rates many found they could afford more home for their money and took the opportunity to move up!

Their Halloween extravaganza for the kids in Trailhead Park! Every year a Fall Festival is planned for the kids in the community.  The past two years new blood has infused fresh ideas and enthusiasm to this Festival thanks to Jenny Zimmerman! This year Canyon Creek rocked with the addition of a first ever teen events ages 13-17 right after the kids event ages 0-12!
