relationships: You Have a Choice in These Transformational Times - 07/12/22 02:45 PM
I was inspired this morning (as I usually am) in our sales meeting. Our Leader teresa recar asked us a question that made me think. What is your choice in these transformational times? I like that word because it conjures up many different things to ponder: technology, choices on how to react to our market, it also reminds me of the transformers my son use to play with. LOL!
We do have a choice on how to react to the transformation of every part of our lives and how it affects us. We can sit on the sidelines and wait for things … (42 comments)

relationships: Agent relationships are so important.. Let's do this again! - 02/22/19 10:28 AM
It's so important to have good agent relationships in our industry. My goal is to always have all the data for buyer agents who show my listings and be responsive and timely in all communication. I want buyer agents to show my listings and feel confident I will present all offers and work diligently towards a smooth transaction. It's amazing the cooperation one can receive when you've established a solid reputation built on the "trust" factor! Every buyer deserves proper representation and I want to work with the agents representing those buyers out there.
Thank you Allison Dady for a wonderful transaction for my seller and … (25 comments)

relationships: Respect ~ Community Guidelines - 01/10/19 10:32 AM
In our Active Rain forum guidelines are established to ensure as participants we represent our industry as true, transparent and professional. The very first word in our AR community guidelines is the word “RESPECT.” This is the foundation our guidelines are built on. It’s important to exhibit mutual respect for our industry, fair housing and the ActiveRain community.
Understanding our attitudes and actions towards each other will have a greater positive impact on the viewing/reading public than anything we could ever write! Liz and Bill Spear  wrote a post recently: “Can you answer the Question? We often get asked the question “How is the market?” … (34 comments)

relationships: Time is your most precious commodity - 03/13/11 10:09 PM
Time is your most precious commodity

Whether you are referring to business or your personal life "time" is your most precious commodity.  Return your calls and emails promptly and deliver clients what they are looking for sooner than expected.  If they ask you to send them a handyman's name and number take care of it immediately. If they need a referral for a good window washer make sure they have that information as quickly as possible.
It's no different in your personal life.  If your child asks you a question a thoughtful answer means more when answered immediately.  A response at … (25 comments)

relationships: Thankful Thursday ~ Just Because - 10/14/10 10:58 AM
Sometimes it's nice just to be remembered.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets...So love the people who treat you right...Forget about the ones who don't.  Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.  If it changes life, let it.  Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

relationships: Attitude is Everything - 08/24/10 11:45 PM
I received this story the other day which makes me realize it's not what you gather, but, what you scatter which tells the kind of life you are living.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,                         looked in the mirror and noticed                        she had only three hairs on her head.                        "Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today."                        So, she did and … (28 comments)

relationships: Incivility Damaging Our Workplace Relationships - 05/24/10 11:57 AM
Christine Pearson with the New York Times published an interesting article concerning the revelations they unearthed through a study of data gathered on more than 9,000 managers and workers across the United States.  Christine defines incivility as behavior, seemingly inconsequential to the doer, that others perceive as inconsiderate.
This morning I witnessed 2 colleagues having breakfast and observed the younger colleague spending most of his time texting and emailing.  The older gentleman tried to initialize conversation several times while his colleague rudely made no eye contact and continued directing his attention to his electronic device.  Clearly the older gentleman was annoyed … (104 comments)

relationships: Two Secrets To Success - 11/12/09 08:58 AM

Success is a term that takes on varied meanings to different individuals. Some categorize and compartmentalize success into their personal lives and business.  Others believe they are all encompassing and intertwined. They believe in balance and harmony in all areas of their lives.
I believe all success revolves around two major premises: Knowing what you want and making a full committment.  It's no secret but many fail to identify what they want  whether it's in a personal relationship or a business.  You can't make a commitment or work toward a goal unless you know what you want!

relationships: It's All In A Whisper - 10/21/09 04:56 AM

What can Granddaughter Hailey be telling Paw Paw that is making him smile?  You can tell by his expression he is listening intently to her whispering words!
Behind her hand you can catch a glimpse she is laughing!  Oh, how wonderful it is to be sharing something with her Paw Paw.

relationships: SOCIAL MEDIA 101 taught by Jason Crouch - 02/19/09 06:10 AM
Yesterday, I attended a class taught by Jason Crouch ! I met Jason and he is what he portrays on his Blog: a kind, sharing, great dad and husband (doesn't mind letting you know that) and a very knowledgeable social media expert.  It's not a wonder he is so successful and gets so many referrals.  Energetic Allison Harris Craig with Gracy Title set up this "Get Smart Class Schedule".
His class was straight forward and introduced the class to ways to broadcast a message and advertising online using technological tools and other internet based media.  The class was informal and his content was easy … (25 comments)
