sixth street: Not so wordless Wednesday ~ Not on your life - 09/24/18 01:02 PM
My granddaughter Maggie was at the Pecan Street Festival over the weekend! She made friends with a Rock Python and found no adversity with having this one draped over her shoulders! I can tell you if I’d been there I wouldn’t have been within 10 feet of this one!

What a great week of rain and Lake Travis is 96% full!! The rain is predicted to stop today and we are in for a beautiful weekend – sunny and in the mid 70’s.  How about a night out at the place that taught central Texans how to eat the Argentine way! If your not into SXSW stay out of downtown with President Obama making his entrance early afternoon! Schools are closing at noon and traffic will will be horrific! Wait until Saturday and venture out!

I moved to Austin in 1980 and for 33 years have experienced growing pains as Austin matured into a vibrant city, while struggling to retain their identity.

“Keep Austin Weird” is an image held dear to the hearts of many “Austinites”. Austin is as great as everyone makes it out to be.
