It's hard to believe Beautiful Beckett is now 1 year old! No bottles or baby food for this girl and definitely trying to walk! While we were away recently on our Eastern Mediterranean cruise we received this photo from son with 3 simple words..."She misses you!" How sweet is this little one ♥

Handsome Hudson and Paw Paw love animals. Hudson asks many questions and Paw Paw loves to take time to answer and enjoys sharing photos and explanations from his laptop. I love to listen when Geno talks to Hudson about how important wild life is and nurtures Hudson's interest in Mother Nature's special creations. Their quiet enjoyment of being together exploring a common interest reminds me of a quote Steven Harper "If we are willing to be still and open enough to listen wilderness itself will teach us." ♥

July Fourth is right around the corner when we will be celebrating American Independence Day! Handsome Hudson and Beautiful Beckett are ready to start the day in their Red, White and Blue! Love these two in their patriotic dress. Both will be celebrating their birthdays in the coming months...hard to believe Hudson will be three and Beckett one. ♥♥

Sunday was a sunny and gorgeous day in Austin! Beautiful Beckett had a rough night Saturday night with an ear infection (doesn't look like the tubes are helping). But the sun came out, it was in the low eighties and Miss Beckett got to go to the park! It's amazing how a "swing in the park" can make the world look better!

All played out....Handsome Hudson had a big day with all his cousins, aunts and uncles and baby sister Beautiful Beckett at Nana and PawPaw's house on Easter Sunday! From an Easter Egg Hunt to playing with his wooden train set (use to be his dad's) and eating some Franklin's BBQ this little tyke was all played out! He barely made it out of our Canyon Creek Subdivision when he fell fast asleep:).

Way to go AJV Cedar Park 14 for capturing first place at the 2015 Tour of Texas finals! Granddaugher, Maggie, is on a roll with her 14 Cedar Park team! They snagged the first place win even with 2 girls out, and having to borrow a team member from another Austin team the day of the tournament! Good things happen to those who don't give up and make things happen!

Our granddaughter Hailey is a freshman playing Volleyball for Bucknell University in PA. Remember this is a tall, blonde Texas born gal and not use to snowJ. She is acquiring a new wardrobe to keep warm but finding besides making many fun new friends on campus and her volleyball team..Frosty the Snowman is a new found friend!

Recently Paw Paw had lunch with Hudson, Sister Beckett and Mom and Dad. They went to the park afterward to play. Sadly it was time to go as Beckett needed to go down for her nap. It was time to leave and Hudson wanted Paw Paw to play the video we made when we went to Mexico last year (he loves to hear the music and see himself)! Spring break is coming up again soon..looks like it will be time for a new video!

Handsome Hudson was ready for school this morning and definitely dressed on the cutting edge! I love his pant cuffs matching his shirt! He, of course, was wearing his fast red shoes...I think they are now his signature look!
His Paw Paw has a pair of red leather shoes from Italy (one year when we were there all the men were wearing them, so, of course, Geno needed a pair) and we must get a shot of them together! I'm just saying.....would be a fun shot!

36 years ago on Thursday, October 19, 1978 my dad passed away from complications with Lupus. I will never forget I sat straight up in bed early that morning and knew he was gone. I've always loved the quote by Jim Valano as it summed up my feeling about my dad..."My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me."

Adorable, sweet Beautiful Beckett...so tiny and so new. From the moment she was placed in my arms she snuggled right into my heart! It’s always fun to spend time so her mom can take off for a few moments and have some freedom to run some errands. It gives me a chance to enjoy this sweet angel...what a beautiful gift!

It’s beginning to look like Fall!
Last weekend we enjoyed cooler temperatures and rain! That is a blessing for us in Austin, TX with the drought we have been experiencing the last 4 years. Cooler temperatures mean Fall is in the air! It motivated me to dress up my mantel, dining room table and take down our summer wreath and replace it with the new season’s look!

A Mother’s Love
Beautiful Beckett and her brother, handsome Hudson, came over on Labor Day to swim and enjoy the day! Beckett is such a sweet baby...she slept and ate and slept and ate some more. I did spend most of the day holding and feeding her but finally I relinquished her for a while to her mom.

Handsome Hudson is so lucky to have parents that like to introduce him to as many fun, exciting and new places in Austin as they can find! Recently, HH spent time at the Liz Carpenter Fountain at Butler Park on Barton Springs Rd (better known as the Splash Pad). Wow...on an almost 100 degree day HH discovered the joys of a splash pad!

Handsome Hudson is going through a car and truck phase! We just returned from a 2 week vacation and missed seeing our grandson Handsome Hudson. He now officially entered the car and truck phase and loves to line them up in straight lines and let them travel together….he has a special bag he likes to keep them in…easy for transporting and so far he likes to put them away after playing.

When Handsome Hudson comes to visit Paw Paw and Nana he has his own table and chairs when he wants to read books or have some quiet activities (which isn’t often). Handsome Hudson loves to swim in the pool and after his swim lessons is now amazing in the water! He seeks out his little corner in the world when he comes to visit. Sometimes it’s comforting to know you have your very own space!

Handsome Hudson loves to sit with his Paw Paw and look at the videos that he is in! He especially likes the one created “Handsome Hudson’s First Spring Break”. The music is especially fun and he loves to see all the birds and animals from our trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. He knows the key to push that will bring these videos up! Paw Paw, I know which one!!
