Sometimes we need to remember moments not days!  Taking time to enjoy those special friends is precious.  Celebrating life, birthdays and future shopping expeditions sometimes just need to come first.   There are times you don't need to count the calories...you need to enjoy good food, the laughs, musings and conversation over wine...Ahhh...Life is good!

Labor Day the whole family got together for BBQ and a good time of water volleyball in the pool! Handsome Hudson had an early lunch before his nap time which worked out perfectly for the rest of the family to grill out and eat!  Then he was ready for pool & hot tub time!!  Can you believe next week Hudson will be a year old?

Thankful Thursday ~ “Yes...did you want something?”

Here is our precious almost 11 month old grandson “Hudson”.  His parents have a gate up because they have 3 dogs which really don’t pay that much attention to Hudson.  I love his look now that he is more mobile and likes to look over and almost seems to say...”I’m on this side..ha ha ha”.  Yes...did you want something? He is so adorable!

A couple of weeks ago we wanted to take our 12 year old granddaughter to lunch for her Birthday! We all wanted to go to Hopdoddy Burger Bar and since they have a new location on Anderson Lane and it is closer to all of us we made plans.
 
We were experiencing a Hudson fix so decided to stop by his daycare which was real close to Hopdoddy’s to give him some hugs and kisses. It was a simple flash mob just for Hudson. Paw Paw, cousins: Maggie and Hailey, Auntie M and Nana!!

Our grandson Hudson will be 10 months old next week...he loves to play in the water.  Hudson finds any chance he can in day care to nudge his way over to the box of water to see what he can stir up! It looks like he has the bubbles in tow after checking to make sure the temperature is to his liking. Happy Independence Day to everyone!

Our littlest grandson, Hudson (affectionately called baby Godzilla by his mother), loves to bang on keyboards.  Of course, we happened to have an extra one so Paw Paw made a beeline to Hudson’s home to deliver one so Hudson could hone his skills!  Don’t you just love it?  Now Hudson can sit by his mom while she works :). That’s what Paw Paw’s are for!

This is Josie ~ our son's puppy.  As he constantly says, "She wants to be a good dog".  Our son is a runner, swimmer and cyclist.  He has two Ironman races under his belt to give you an indication his work-outs are not for sissies.Josie is a puppy Lab so she needs exercise everyday...she has lots of energy and usually is like the energizer bunny...never stops!  This particular day Josie went for a long run and when they got back she had this soulful look. She might have finally run out of steam!  I think she was glad the run was over!

September is getting closer and we are very excited about our son's upcoming marriage to a lovely young lady in September.
He proposed in February (no, nothing as hokey as on Valentines Day - in his words! But a very romantic proposal).  
She was definitely worth the wait and the first shower will be this weekend!  It is so much fun to be a part of the wedding plans...it will be here before we know it.  Don't they look like the perfect couple?  We are not prejudiced at all!!

Thankful Thursdays ~ Granddaughter headed to Atlanta ~ Junior Volleyball NationalsOur oldest granddaughter plays for the Austin Junior Volleyball team and they had an exciting weekend playing in the Lone Star Volleyball Regional tournament in Austin.  
On Mothers Day morning her team qualified to play at the Junior National Championships!  
The end of June this eager group of girls will head to Atlanta to see how they stack up to the competition!  They are learning early on that hard work can pay off handsomely.  I take my hat off to these aspiring young athletes!Coach Amy Knowles deserves a round of applause … (17 comments)
