I got a call on one of my active listings that has a Contingent contract. The caller said he didn’t understand if it was available or not. Recently we have been interviewing pool companies to resurface our pool, redo the tile, do some stone work and add a handrail to facilitate entering and exiting the pool. Saturday, October 18, 2014, the much anticipated Canyon Creek Fall Festival was held at Trailhead Park! The weather was perfect and the families streamed in dressed in some really creative costumes! It was so fun to visit with so many past clients and neighbors!
Our new sign for the entrance and the Scarecrows and pumpkin cutouts for photo ops were designed by Jennifer Galle. Jennifer is a resident who works for Effective Sign Solutions in Cedar Park and donated her time and the HOA provided the materials.

According to the Austin Multiple Listing Service (MLS), the Austin Texas Residential Real Estate Market in August 2014 reflected a month over month decrease of 4% in single family Units Sold compared to August of 2013. However the Median Home Price for single family homes jumped 11% and the Average Price rose 9%!  Single family homes continued to sell quickly with Average Days on Market of 42 days, one day less than August 2013.

The total volume of home sales in Austin is up but the homes selling in July 2014 were selling at a slower pace. The news suggests a slowdown of the continued upward sales price of Austin homes.
