chicken soup: A Chicken Soup Kind Of Day

Today is a dreary, 50 degree, rainy day here in SE PA, where we are under a Stay At Home advisory. We watched the wind change the direction of the falling rain a few times this morning, as we sat and enjoyed our morning hot beverage on our enclosed porch, and I decided this would be a good day to make chicken soup. So I found a frozen carcass in the freezer from a rotisserie chicken we enjoyed a few meals from a little while back, and put it in a pot with water. chicken soup: Nor'easter and Chicken Soup

Today was an ideal day to make homemade chicken soup. Temperatures outside have been below freezing for over a week, the wind had been howling since the early morning hours, the snow had been blowing from the Nor'easter knocking at our doors and windows, and the fixins' for making chicken soup were in the fridge. The local weather forecast on the radio said this Nor'easter would be out of here with her snow in the afternoon, but the winds and the temperature would continue to drop for the next two days making it colder than it has been in the last week.
