Our timing could not have been better.
We traveled north on the NE Extension this past weekend for a family gathering in the Poconos.
The colors of Autumn were in full display as the elevation increased.
When we reached our destination, the trees had peaked, but still had lingering colors to enjoy.
Photos never fully capture the brilliance and beauty of such things.

One day back in April, when the weather was a bit chilly and the fresh greens of Spring were beginning to appear, we decided to take a ride. A ride that offered different scenery during this pandemic. So we headed out to French Creek State Park, roughly an hour away. Traffic was light, a few others were in the park. The water was relatively calm, cormorants were hanging out in a tree. We stretched our legs, took a few photos, then headed home by a different route, refreshed.

The Pagoda in Reading PA is roughly 60 miles northwest of Delaware County.
It is worthwhile to visit this beautiful structure, because it is unusual, has a wonderful vantage point of the valley below and is quite amazing that it is so close to Delaware County.
We visited recently on an overcast day, but we still were able to see Reading in the valley below. We took time to enjoy some local offerings in their cafe with a view. We had a local hot dog with sauerkraut, and a local soda, mine Sarsaparillas and Doug a birch beer.

One of the great things about living in Delaware County PA is how close it is to the New Jersey shore, or as locals say, the Jersey shore. No it is not called the beach like other parts of the country may say, it is the Jersey shore.
According to Google Maps, from Springfield, the town where our office is located, to Cape May, New Jersey, the southern most town in New Jersey, the distance can be 109 miles (roughly 2 hours 12 minutes) or 91.6 miles (roughly 2 hours 15 minutes). Elmwood Park Zoo is located in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is located on 16 acres of land that was donated by a private landowner to the municipality of Norristown in 1924 and has remained in operation to this day.
