For the last two weeks the headlines on our local Philadelphia radio and TV stations have been about Danilo Cavalcante, the escaped murderer from a nearby Chester County prison. From what I’ve heard, people have been captivated by this around the country and the world.
Delaware County borders Chester County PA where all of this unfolded.
We first found out about it when we heard that Longwood Gardens was closed and we happened to be talking to friends who live in the retirement community, Kendal, that borders Longwood. Our friends received text alerts to Shelter in Place once it was known he had … (19 comments)

french creek state park: We Just Had To Go For A Ride

One day back in April, when the weather was a bit chilly and the fresh greens of Spring were beginning to appear, we decided to take a ride. A ride that offered different scenery during this pandemic. So we headed out to French Creek State Park, roughly an hour away. Traffic was light, a few others were in the park. The water was relatively calm, cormorants were hanging out in a tree. We stretched our legs, took a few photos, then headed home by a different route, refreshed.
