Happy Spring!
It was official last evening.....Spring is here!
Today the weather here in SE PA feels more like summer, but only for the one day, as the winds blow in.
It is always interesting to watch the flowers wake up in turn in Spring, with the anticipation of others to follow.
Crocuses, snowdrops, forsythia, now the magnolia trees, are giving their wonderful flower offerings. At least the magnolia flowers will have a chance to run their natural course instead of being stunted by a late winter snow storm.

The lingering cold of winter has put off the cascade of awakening plants and flowers here in SE PA.
Yet there is hope, as it has been happening ever so slowly this year.
The forsythia in our yard has more yellow in its branches.
No bright yellow yet on my travels around the area, but I would not be surprised if they appear on the landscape very soon.
In my impatience for this cascade of yellow to appear, I trimmed a few branches and put them in a vase in water in a bright sunny spot. Warmed in the sun. They are slowly beginning to … (12 comments)

Signs Of Spring In Delaware County PA
Delaware County Pennsylvania is showing signs of spring in mid March. Daffodils are above the ground and showing off their buds, crocuses are on display in clusters here and there, pussy willows have appeared on branches and you can hear the songs of the tufted titmouse singing his springtime song.
Male morning doves can be heard woo cooing their female counterparts a song that is silent during the colder months. Robins have returned to our backyard having ventured off for the winter with other robins during their off season of raising young. The robins stake out … (10 comments)
