1964 was the year Bob Dylan, poet/laureate, released his classic ballad "The Times Are A Changin'" 
 
 
Well, the times are changing and changing rapidly on the Cannabis front. Who would have ever thought we would see Cannabis legalized anywhere? BUT, it is and new businesses are starting up. I learned of a building in Idaho that is made from Hempcrete. Now there is a business in Cornish, Maine that is opening the "Laughing Grass Inn" a "Bud" and Breakfast event from August 15 through September 7.

Today is the 100-year anniversary for Nunan's Florist & Greenhouses in Georgetown, MA. The business has expanded in the past 10 years and now includes a championship mini golf course and soon to coming sandwich shop.

As a Selectman in Georgetown, I will be participating in the ceremonies today and maybe playing a round of mini golf with my fellow Selectmen.

As Realtors® & business people we are in the public eye or public awareness moreso than others. Being a Christian adds to that public awareness & perception. I used to think that was a heavy load to carry. Not anymore.
How we carry ourselves, how we react to situations when we think we are not being viewed, e.g.  when we are in our vehicles, is important. Our actions will always speak louder than our words … (12 comments)

These words, attributed to John Wesley, offer sage advice to us all. I believe the application of these principles extends into our personal businesses. As individuals and organizations I see evidence of Wesley's words being applied business and individuals  within their communities. Americans are a most generous people as we give of our time & resources to do all the good we can. I am proud to say I am a Realtor® and part of a business community that reaches out to our communities, country and world.
