equity: In 5-Years? - 08/01/19 08:31 AM
When we purchase a home whether a single-family, multi-family, condo etc. it is important to maintain the home through regular maintenance and updates or upgrades. By doing this you will maintain and/or increase the equity/value in your home. The article below is based on a Pulsenomics quarterly survey of 100 Real Estate knowledgeable professionals regarding their 5-year expectations of future home prices.

Your Equity Over The Next 5 Years   Many of the questions currently surrounding the real estate industry focus on home prices and where they are heading. The most recent Home Price Expectation Survey (HPES) helps target these projected answers.

equity: Should I... - 07/22/19 06:51 AM
...Refinance my home?
My youngest son recently purchased a home in a neighboring State. He and Sarah are both very excited with the purchase and the home as they thought it may have taken quite a while before they could purchase. BUT, as life has a habit of doing, circumstances changed suddenly and they were now able to purchase. They paid a bit higher interest rate and have been working to raise their credit scores so it's over 700. They heard on the news that rates may be going down and they asked, "Dad should we refinance now?" "That's a good question", … (8 comments)

equity: How's your state doing? - 08/08/17 03:47 PM
This is positive news! It's been a long road from 2006 and the cliff diving drop the Real Estate Market took in 2006. Foreclosures have dropped down to more normal numbers and short sales are not as prevalent. Now I hope the home owning public does not return to its frivolous ways of tapping home equity for toys.

93.9% Of Homes In The US Have Positive Equity CoreLogic’s latest Equity Report revealed that ninety-one thousand residential properties regained equity in Q1 2017. The outlook for 2017 remains positive as well, as an additional 600 thousand properties will regain equity if home prices rise another 5% this year.

equity: List Your Home Today!!! - 04/25/17 08:43 AM
Why is the inventory so low? I keep asking myself that question. It is my opinion that the economy is not as good as it's being portrayed. Bonds are getting killed which is not a good sign of a strong economy. BUT, the Stock Market is at or near new highs today, which would indicate confidence. Wages are not really keeping up with Real Estate prices.
Yet, people are clamoring to purchase a home. When a listing does come on the market it gets bombarded with request for showings and the majority are gone within a week or two. The folks at … (17 comments)

equity: Rent or Buy? - 02/24/17 04:30 AM
In our area the numbers of rental units available for rent incredibly low. If you are a multi-unit investor the best places to buy are in close proximity to the public transportation centers. That's what renters are seeking and those property values are soaring, as are the rents. Inventory for single family homes are seriously lacking. In our town, we have only 6 active listings for homes and condos. This is good news for buyers as prices will continue to accelerate. Will those who rent decide to buy? The economics indicate it would be a smart move.
