renting: Only 4??? - 03/11/19 09:51 AM
Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening... That should cover it...lol. I came across this article from the folks at KCM and decided to look at it because I could probably cite 40 reasons for buying a home this Spring. The 4 they mention are prime reasons to buy and those 4 ways can be inclusive of many more. When Pam & I were buyers we had been looking for some time AND interest rates were rising every week. We were hot to trot, had looked at many properties, got beat out of 3. We knew owning was way better than renting, for us. … (4 comments)

renting: Does Homeownership Really Matter? - 02/19/19 05:22 AM
To rent or buy?... That's an age-old question. I get that question all the time from people that rent. It all depends on their situation BUT Real Estate ownership is the hands-down best way to produce wealth. Your rent dollars just fly out the window and are gone forever.
Why Homeownership Matters Now More Than Ever
Study after study shows that no matter what generation Americans belong to, the vast majority believe that homeownership is an important part of their American Dream. The benefits of homeownership can be broken into two main categories: financial and non-financial (often referred to as emotional or social reasons.)

Another area I'm not completely sold on is, renters being worse off in % of income being used for housing. Renters do not have maintenance expenses and many do not utilize renters insurance (which they should and they pay no Real Estate tax bills (I know, … (6 comments)
