As today is the actual election day, and without waxing political, PLEASE when you vote, or voted, please do so from the perspective of the different platforms of the candidates, not on personalities. A most well-spoken and acting candidate could be representing a most putrid platform and a so-so personality could be offering a much better platform. 
Voting is such an important function in our country for we are set up as a Constitutional Republic and Representative Democracy meaning We the People are each sovereign and we elect those who will represent us.

...,As citizens of the United States of America to vote. It took 5 Constitutional Amendments over 100 years to end voter discrimination. Many men, women & families fought and gave their lives to ensure those of us that are citizens have a say in electing OUR representatives in government. President Trump has extended the proclamation for November to be National Veterans Month. Veterans Day is Sunday 11 November. 
 
The Amendments are:
15th Amendment -  Ensured voting rights for all males, including Black Americans,              Ratified 3 February 1870
19th Amendment -  Ensured all women have the right to vote … (9 comments)

Our form of government was designed so We the People hold the reins. Over the years we have let those reins go. For a government Of the People, For the People, and By the People to work, we MUST participate, even if that is just ensuring we exercise our right to vote. We are privileged to have a voice in government.
