From Intermountain MLS of Boise, Idaho.  October 14, 2014 by Marc Lebowitz Single family home sales in September 2014 were 651 in Ada County, a decrease of 6% compared to September 2013.   YTD total sales are down 5% compared to this time last year; 5,920 homes sold compared to 6,203.
In September, sales of homes priced above $200,000 showed increases in nearly every price category. Overall sales are continue to lag because sales of homes in the five categories priced below $159,999 are down anywhere from 1% ($160,000 to $199,999) to 200% (70,000 to $89,999). Last Saturday night my son and I went to our first Boise Hawks baseball game.  Those of you not familiar they are the class “A” short season Affiliate team for the Chicago Cubs.  There is not a bad seat in the house and we sat on third base side in box seat.  Third base side also happens to be the shady side. The seats where fantastic and my son was captivated throughout the game.  Not just with the baseball game, but between every inning we had potatoes races, games, hot dogs shot into the stands and basic family fun … (1 comments)

The following are the Real Estate Statistics for Ada County and Boise, Idaho.  These are resale and new construction of Single Family Resdience's, (SFR).  Market is still strong and we expect to pick up in August, as everyone is to busy enjoy all the outdoor activities around Boise.  Isn't that why we live here!

I was at The Drink just off the Greenbelt having a beer over the Fourth of July weekend.  I overheard a table discussing real estate.  Of course my ears couldn’t help but listen to what was being said.  The spoke about their homes, value, neighbors, cost of remodeling and where trying to figure out the least expensive ways to maintain or improve value.

The City of Trees, no stranger to top 10 lists, was rated seventh out of America's 100 largest metro areas. Forbes ranked cities based on median household income, Cost of Living Index, housing affordability, the percentage of residents who own their homes, average commuting delays, crime rate rankings, and local school quality.
