I've been driving past Boise for years, partly because I grew up in Sun Valley and inherited some of its snobbery, and partly because, from I-84, the city doesn’t beckon—there’s no striking skyline, no great monument, no illuminated tower. The following are the Real Estate Statistics for Ada County and Boise, Idaho.  These are resale and new construction of Single Family Resdience's, (SFR).  Market is still strong and we expect to pick up in August, as everyone is to busy enjoy all the outdoor activities around Boise.  Isn't that why we live here!

I was at The Drink just off the Greenbelt having a beer over the Fourth of July weekend.  I overheard a table discussing real estate.  Of course my ears couldn’t help but listen to what was being said.  The spoke about their homes, value, neighbors, cost of remodeling and where trying to figure out the least expensive ways to maintain or improve value.
 
This may sound simple but one of the best ways to maintain your value is curb appeal.  Neighborhoods usually have similar curb appeal among their homes.  Of course you have your neighbor who spends all there … (0 comments)

Boise is one of the best cities in the country for raising a family, according to new rankings from Forbes.com.
 
The City of Trees, no stranger to top 10 lists, was rated seventh out of America's 100 largest metro areas. Forbes ranked cities based on median household income, Cost of Living Index, housing affordability, the percentage of residents who own their homes, average commuting delays, crime rate rankings, and local school quality.

The following are May 2014 Single Family Home Sales Statistics for Ada County.  They are broken up by Resale, New and County.  Canyon County coming tomorrow.

There are almost 1000 more listings this year then same period last year.  Only 21 more sales then last year, but most importantly average price sale price is up $13,000. The buyers are there purchasing, lurking waiting to strike, but waiting for the right house for them.

The move to Boise from Petaluma, California, Why?  The reasons could be endless or just a simple one like love, or lifestyle or a job.  Whatever your reason to be looking to move to Boise or you are, you will not regret it!
In October of 2013 I did the move, for endless list of reason, my wife had just passed from cancer a few months earlier, cost of living, school system for my 8 year old, and lifestyle.  I cannot say enough about Boise and agree with Forbes as a top 10 place to live and raise … (1 comments)
