golf: Omni Tucson National Sonoran Golf Course - 01/12/08 12:54 AM
I had the pleasure a few weeks ago to play the Omni Tucson National Sonoran Course. A Tom Lehman designed course that debuted in 2005. Thanks to friends Mark Neal and his son Ken. Who, by the way, were the primary reason for winning this foursome when we played the ADOT-SECC Employee Make A Wish Tournament in June 2007. This course has 69 bunkers, two lakes, spectacular views, and immaculate Mini Verde Bermuda greens.
The weather man said 10% chance of rain. We found all of that 10%. But, it wasn’t bad for a winter drizzle. I could use some more playing weather like that … (0 comments)

golf: Tucson Del Urich Municipal Golf Course - 09/24/07 12:33 PM
Dell Urich is a parkland tree-lined courses with relatively flat fairways and big undulating greens. Located in the heart of Tucson. Sharing the complex with Randolph North Golf Course, which I already wrote about. This course has parallel fairways that are as forgiving as the sister course to the north.  Its an easy course to walk and take in some of the views of the city and mountains that surround Tucson. Leave the cart at the pro shop.
The first hole is a 347 yard Par. A slight dip down early fairway and back up to a decent sized fairway leading to a complimentary green. Hit a … (1 comments)

golf: El Con Quistador Resort Homes - 09/10/07 04:45 PM
A great northwest community that lines the Pusch Ridge El Conquistador golf course is El Con Quistador Resort homes. I know the backs of many of these homes from the many times I have played the course. I have been impressed by the homes in this community I have shown over the years. Most of the homes in this community are town homes. Very nice town homes. Owners have the option of using the resort facilities for only $65 a month.

golf: What Does Tucson Home Buying Have In Common With Golf? - 08/31/07 06:13 AM
In my article comparing home selling to golf I used a game for the analogy. For Buyers I think relating to the equipment is a better analogy.
Golf You need an easy college credit at your local community college. Golf seems innocent enough. You’ll just take the class and move on to more important classes. Right? Not that easy. Golf can be addicting. I know.
So, you sign up for the class show up to the golf course and expect the instructor to supply the clubs. Not quite. You need to either buy or rent some clubs. You don’t know if … (0 comments)

golf: What Does Golf and Selling A Home Have In Common? - 08/29/07 02:10 AM
As a golfer I see a lot of similarities between golf and different aspects of life. There are so many good books out there about golf that relates to life.  Everything from Zen For Golf to Fairways of Life. Both of which I have read and recommend.
As a Realtor I started looking for how golf and real estate compares. What does selling a home and golf have in common?
Stepping up to the tee unprepared without practicing you have no idea where the ball is going to go. You want it to fly straight down the fairway and not land in … (4 comments)

golf: My Newest Hero - 06/24/07 12:39 AM
Sometimes we get to involved with ourselves, with what others say or think, being negative, world conflict, and not enjoying life or appreciating our fellow man/woman. Then something happens to bring us back to reality. Thanks Hero!
While watching the Golf Channel I was stopped by a story of a young boy not quite 5 years old with the courage greater than the universe and a heart greater than the Grand Canyon.
His story in Golf Digest says it all. Just a quick exert, "From life's darkness into its light he has come. On May 28, he will be 5 years old. He almost … (0 comments)
