During a recent home tour, my buyers and I viewed a property that we quickly labeled the creepy house. Yes, buyers judge. Buyers judge quickly. And buyers will give your house a nickname. More often than not, we don't refer to a house by its address but by some unique feature or by the way a property made the buyers feel. Trust me when I tell you that creeping potential buyers out is not the way to get your house SOLD!

I was going to write DOs and DONTs for Silver Spring, MD and beyond home sellers but then I thought I would share my friend and REALTOR® Mimi Foster's post instead. I simply couldn't have said it any better!
When it comes to presenting and showing your home, none of the points Mimi lists should be negotiable. After all, the point is to SELL your home and not to just list it.
Always remember, you only get one chance to make a great first impression! By preparing for the market and for showings and by accommodating the latter, you'll accomplish just that.
