It's been such a beautifully busy start to 2022! My year began with signing a listing agreement with lovely long-term clients who will be putting their Bowie Cape Cod on the market next month, and the first snow storm of the year.
Just like that we are almost a week in and I haven't even penned last year's recap post, or a post about all the things to look forward to in the new year, or what to expect from the local market moving forward. I shall catch up!

I've been noticing a trend lately, and not a good one.
Over the last couple of years or so, my clients and I have been asked to delay settlement (through no fault on our side) more and more often. Sometimes things happen in the world of Real Estate, say a pandemic that took a hot minute to figure out how to navigate, or a natural disaster, or a title issue that takes a bit longer to resolve.

It's finally here, the grand finale of weeks of preparing, shopping, baking, wrapping, and spreading Holiday cheer. I am almost ready, just a couple more presents to wrap and stockings to stuff. I cannot wait for all the smiles and giggles and joy and hugs and ... tomorrow!

It's the end of the school year in Montgomery and Howard County, MD. Already?! I know! It brings with it big changes for my little family, a memorable ceremony, emotional flashbacks and quite a few tissues.
On the left is my daughter on her first day of Kindergarten in 2010. It seems like such a long time ago and just like the other day, all at once. What she's holding is a traditional German Zuckertüte (sugar cone) filled with treats and little gifts. I remember my mom bringing it with her that summer.
