As if Real Estate isn't struggling enough, I read an article today on the WSJ Online that states, banks and mortgage companies have a "Black List" (of course they don't refer to the list as that) circulating internally.
The list includes, what they term as slow or soft markets that create a high risk for mortgage providers.
The chances of these tagged markets recovering any time soon will lie in the lenders hands. I understand the mortgage companies concerns, but some where the (hate to say it) government is going to have to step in and come to the rescue. Although, if they … (6 comments)

What is everyones guess when our family will hit the 60,000 members mark?
 I invite as many of my contacts as I can. Does anyone have a good lead line that has worked for you, that everyone can use in the invite box where we personally invite them?
It seems that 95% of my invites don't understand the true value of being involved with such a great group and the importance of blogging.
We all know they are missing the boat, the only ones that don't are them.
It's a speeding boat that all Real-estate professionals should be riding.

Just when you thought you were the King of Real-Estate.
Along comes the buyers market making them the King! More so then ever, the seller has become the pawn. The large inventory of homes on the market has tuned the agent into the Knight.
In the not to long pass, agents were shakers and movers. A continuous forward moving group that could get the job done. Now, like the Knight it's two steps forward and one step to the side. Eventually, the agent makes their way across the game board, but not without added moves and some side stepping.

Were entering the holiday season, now's the time to do a little play on words in your marketing campaign.
A great tag line for advertising your listings could be: Home for the Holidays
It's one that will peak the buyers interest, and a well known saying. Tying the slogan into your advertising becomes a play on words.
 The slogan will add some fireworks to your ads.
Of course you could always say "contact me and we'll talk turkey", JK

We all heard the saying "Shoot for the Moon" but does that term mean walking over others to get to that point?
So what does it take to shoot for the moon?
Ethics, hard work, honesty, customer service, some of these are business senses. Shooting for the Moon is respect.  Respect for yourself, respect for your family and loved ones, respect for your clients, respect for others, and respect for the world we live in.

Have you ever said to yourself I will never do this again? In most cases the never is self inflicted.
It may have stemmed from "I will never drink that much again" or "I will never treat someone that way again."
They are self inflicted and there's only one person who can change the never word. In the world of Real-estate if you never plan on changing your ways how can you expect your clients to refer you to their friends and family.
