The Fall Colors Are Here In Central CT, Week 4 As we head into the last days of October, the colors are truly, showing and with the drop in temps and wind, the trees will be shedding the foliage quickly. I have been showing the progression of the colors on our par 3 fifth hole. On October 1 we had very little in color surrounding the green. On October 9, it was starting to show shades of yellow and red. Coming up to October 16 we are definitely getting to the cusp of peak in color surrounding the green. The Fall Colors are Trying to Come Out in Central CT As I was making my way across the fairways over the weekend, I noticed hints f the trees getting ready to offer up their colors. There were hints of color coming from the oak tree at the back of this green. Unfortunately, the day was overcast, courtesy of Ian's tail, but I am hoping that when we get a sunny day, it will show much better. The Colors Of Fall Are Coming 2 While walking a few fairways this morning, I was distracted by the colors of some of the trees. The shades are starting to emerge, and the colors are especially striking. The photo above was shot last week, but there are a lot of other trees trying to catch up now.

Showing the Colors Fall in Central Connecticut It's mid-October and here in Central Connecticut our colors are approaching peak. Although CT is not a very big state, the colors are very different across the state and timing is different as well. While the Norther part of the state may well be past peak, the southern part of the state is just starting to make it's transition.
Connecticut is a state with numerous hills and very few areas where one can appreciate the colors on the hills directly without catching homes or trees. I was fortunate to take a little walk and find a … (10 comments)
