Among all 50 states, Utah adds yet another top end ranking to it's list of growing accolades I've been trying to keep up with over the past few years. Forbes.com recently ranked Utah as the "Best State for Business and Careers." In the first quarter 2010, Salt Lake City Metro Area was ranked #1 for the best commute out of the 60 largest metropolitan areas in the country. Barring a major accident or closure, the Salt Lake City metro area is quick and easy to get around. On most days you can get from any point of the valley to any other point in the valley in less than 30 minutes. Old news, but good news. Utah moved from 5th healthiest state to 2nd healthiest state in the U.S. Utah ranked either first or second in the following categories: Prevalence of smoking Infant mortality Cancer deaths Prevalence of binge drinking Children in poverty Preventable hospitalizations. One of the greatest benefits of living in Salt Lake County is that you can be in about any one of 30 towns in about 15-20 minutes! (Well, except during rush hour!)

In an American City Business Journal report today on MSNBC (February 13th, 2008) Salt Lake was mentioned as being the second least stressful metropolitain area in the country.
