We focus on assisting taxpayers with IRS issues in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and are not stunned to see the latest IRS Collection numbers, all indicating a huge increase in taxpayers in trouble.
Effective December 31, 2010, the IRS reports the following:
 
There are 10.4 million taxpayers in the IRS collection division inventory, an increase of 800,000 taxpayers, or 8.3% over 2009. There were 1,096,376 liens filed There were 3,606,818 levies served There were 57,000 offers in compromise filed, 14,000 accepted (25%) There were $14.5 billion in penalties assessed for income tax returns filed in 2010, and $5.78 billion in penalties … (0 comments)
