Palos Verdes region (Region 10) is now accepting registration for the Fall 2013 online. The Palos Verdes Region 10 of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) offers year round recreational and competitive youth soccer programs locally for four year olds (U5 division) all the way up to 19 year olds (U19).
The online registration for Fall and Summer soccer is now available. All players must go to www.eayso.org and register in the eayso database. We have just started to enjoy daylight savings time and Spring isn't even here yet, but summer school sign ups are fast approaching. The Palos Verdes Unified School District has posted the calendar for this years summer programs and, if history repeats itself, they will fill up fast.
Registration for elementary students for summer school will begin on April 8, 2013. The classes will be held this year at Silver Spur, Dapplegray, Mira Catalina and Vista Grande. The school hours will be 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and classes run from June 17 through July 12, 2013.

The Norris Center For The Perming Arts, will present its 27th annual community variety benefit show called “Rhythm vs Romance." This year's production will be staged as though it was an entertaining "seminar" on musical education. The "Professor" Victor Anythong will explore "Rhythm vs Romance" in hopes of discovering which type of music is superior. Palos Verdes real estate statistics for February 2013 show the market's strength. 44 Palos Verdes houses sold in January which is an increase from the 38 homes that sold last February and a slight decrease from the 48 homes that sold in January. There were 58 Palos Verdes single family homes pending in February compared to 63 in January. Palos Verdes homes owners who are looking for assistance with their tax filings, are able again this year to make appointments at the Peninsula Seniors Center for free help with tax preparation. This is an AARP Tax-Aide Program which has one-hour appointments that can be scheduled on the hour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays only.
