On Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the White Point Nature Preserve will be celebrating National Public Lands Day at the Preserve. Volunteers, along with sponsors Toyota and REI, will be removing the non native plants that stop native plant growth, planting and watering native plants and repairing the trails. This is a great opportunity for Palos Verdes homes owners to enjoy the outdoors and help maintain our beautiful Peninsula.

Palos Verdes real estate statistics for August 2013 show lower inventory of homes for sale and increased number of Palos Verdes homes sold compared to last year. 67 Palos Verdes houses sold in August which is a decrease from the 72 homes that sold in July and an increase from the 60 homes that sold in August 2012. There were 78 Palos Verdes single family homes pending in August compared to 68 in July. The number of active Palos Verdes homes for sale in August was nearly the same as July - 147 in August and 148 in July.

Malaga Cove posted the largest gain in average sales price for Palos Verdes homes - $2,255,556 for the first half of 2013 compared to $1,848,972 in the first half of 2012. Average sales price increased to $1,391,629 in the first six months of this year compared to $1,355,125 for the first six months of last year.
