On December 7, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band will join forces with the acclaimed Los Cancioneros Master Chorale, a 60-member vocal ensemble that has been entertaining South Bay audiences for 70 years, at the South Coast Botanic Garden. Palos Verdes homes owners have a great opportunity to run/walk on the Vincent Thomas Bridge this coming Labor Day for a 5.3 mile celebration. This race is part of the 2019 L.A. Fleet Week events at the Port of Los Angeles. The race attracts thousands of runners every year who want to be “on foot” atop of this iconic 1963 green suspension bridge. Terranea Resort is celebrating Earth Day this Saturday, April 20, 2019. They will be hosting family friendly events where attendees will learn to help the environment while having fun doing it. This should be an enjoyable day, for all ages. Educational Green Wall – will take place at Pointe Discovery from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will include Storybook reading – literature from the public library to encourage a more sustainable alternative to purchasing books. Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be sponsoring Winter Impressions Workshop at Terranea Resort on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This enjoyable family event is sponsored by the Land Conservancy and Art to Grow On, Inc. and will begin with a coastal hike down the Discovery Trail.
