Palos Verdes AYSO Soccer (Region 10) is changing its registration process a bit. If you have already registered, you are all set. If you haven’t registered yet, when you will register it will be under a “waitlist” with no requirement to pay until a start date has been determined. After the start date has been set, you will receive an email asking you to “finish” registering your child by submitting your payment. Palos Verdes home owners are lucky that we have some of the cleanest beaches in California for our families to enjoy.  Earlier this year, the beaches were closed because of the Coronavirus and it truly effected our local residents. Recently, we have been able to enjoy our beautiful beaches but they will be closed for this weekend.

Palos Verdes homes owners will have to wait another year to enjoy the Palos Verdes Summer Concerts due to the Covid-19 virus.  The summer normally brings blankets, music and fun, however, this summer large crowds will not be happening in our area.
The Malaga Cove concert series which has been going on for years, and normally takes place on eight Wednesday’s following the Fourth of July, has now been cancelled due to social distancing.  The Malaga Cove Business and Professional Association put out a notification that this year it would be unable to continue the series.

The Palos Verdes Unified School District has had to change directions for its summer school program because of the COVID-19 virus.  This year,  summer school will be an online program for all grade levels.  All summer school programs will begin on June 22, 2020.

Palos Verdes AYSO Soccer (Region 10) is currently accepting early bird online registration for Fall 2020. Point Vicente Interpretive Center has started counting whales for the 2019/2020 Whale Watching season.  This famous landmark gives Palos Verdes homes owners a local center where they can go and watch these massive mammals off our coastline.   This season officially started December 1, 2019, and according to the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, as of today, there have been 399 gray whales counted going south.  Most of the whales are traveling south to Baja and the concern in the last several months has been that they are swimming in the large container ship paths.
