Average sales price increased to $1,391,629 in the first six months of this year compared to $1,355,125 for the first six months of last year. Price per square foot increased to $506 for the first six months of this year compared to $465 for the same time period last year - an 8.8% increase.

Last week, 12 Palos Verdes homes closed escrow. There were three neighborhoods where 2 Palos Verdes houses sold - Rolling Hills, Lunada Bay and Country Club. The number of sales surprised me as I thought it was low as the average weekly rate of sale for the past 8 weeks has been 15 homes sold. The average sales price this last week for those homes sold was $1,556,250 which is up from April's average sales price of $1,397,000.
