In 1967 the successful entertainer Liberace purchased a former inn called "The Cloisters" located near downtown Palm Springs. Liberace properly renamed it "Casa de Liberace." It was built in 1930 and has 7 bedrooms with 8 1/2 baths.

The original garage became another living room and sadly this was to be the room where Liberace lived during his final days. Liberace died in 1987 after losing his battle with AIDS.
