When the sellers of this listing first contacted me from the internet, it was in early July.  They asked for a meeting, so I worked up an estimate of value and went over to the house. Sellers don't always work on the timeframe we expect, either. They seemed ready to list, the home was in great shape, but they were not ready.

Everybody who knows me realizes that I am not in the business of trying to swipe another agent's client. Not only do I believe it's unethical, it's also prohibited by the Code of Ethics. I would also not want another agent to try to do it to me, so I tend to practice the Golden Rule in life. But yowza, when sellers call me to say that they are unhappy with their agent and want to switch agents, begging me to tell them what's wrong with their listing and how to fix it, it seems the last 3 times I've tried … (8 comments)

Some person I've never spoken to nor had any business relationship with decided two years ago to sign up for automatic Sacramento home listings from my company website. He chose me as his Sacramento real estate agent, but he never responded to any inquires from me, so I stopped emailing him. I am not in the business to bug people. If they just want information from my website and don't want to interact with me or receive personal assistance from me, that's OK, too.
