sacramento restaurants: Frasinetti Winery for Lunch with Myrl Jeffcoat - 03/01/18 09:01 AM
Myrl Jeffcoat is a force to be reckoned with. She is one of those people who can make me laugh without saying a word. Just hearing her laughter is infectious. Myrl has half a generation on me but you wouldn't know it to look at her. She's just as young and vibrant as ever.
We try to go to lunch every so often just to get caught up and hang out. In fact, I wish she were here right now because I just stumbled into my family room wondering: what is this on the floor? Is it a ribbon? Part of a … (12 comments)

sacramento restaurants: The Best Sacramento Restaurant for a Group Dinner - 04/15/17 09:04 AM
Can't recall if it was at the Lyon Awards Celebration Dinner when we picked up an award for placing in the top 3 agents in Sacramento or if it was over lunch at Ella, but somewhere along the line in the last few months, the agents on my team brought up the fact we should get together for a night out and have dinner. That's because we thought it might be interesting to talk about something other than real estate (gasp) and be together.
I love the people on my team like my own family. We all seem to mesh. I'm fond … (7 comments)

sacramento restaurants: Who Says You Can't Go Out For a 7-Course Meal the Day After Thanksgiving? - 11/27/10 04:23 AM
Like Uncle Joe I'm moving kinda slow at the Junction this morning. There are no words to describe the feast we had last night. And I'm not talking about a Thanksgiving leftovers meal. We went to The Kitchen Restaurant for its Push the Palate special dinner. It's a quarterly event.
If you've never been to The Kitchen Restaurant in Sacramento, you're in a for a special treat. But there are 3 caveats. First, you need a reservation, and you might need to make a reservation months in advance. Second, if triple-digit restaurant bills scare the beejesus out of you, then this … (10 comments)

sacramento restaurants: New Sacramento Restaurant: World Seafood & Sushi Buffet - 02/14/09 02:08 AM
My husband and I finally found time to check out the new buffet restaurant that just opened in Sacramento. The World Seafood & Sushi Buffet is located south of Land Park, past Fruitridge on the east side of Freeport near Claudia.  It's a non-descript building. We showed up for lunch last Wednesday around 1 PM, and the place was practically deserted, so I don't know how many customers were actually there around noon. Without customers in the room, the air was chilly.
It's a huge dining space, filled with lots of empty tables, so we received superior service from the staff … (7 comments)

sacramento restaurants: At The Kitchen in Arden Park, Sacramento, It's All About the Fresh Ingredients - 08/30/08 04:40 AM
If you're feeling in an extravagant mood and find yourself watching too many episodes of Iron Chef -- perhaps daydreaming of becoming a panelist at Kitchen Stadium (not gonna happen, the show is over) -- then I've got just the place for you: The Kitchen in Sacramento, located in the Arden Park neighborhood near Arden Fair. Chef Noah Zonca and Executive Chef Randall Selland have hit on a winning concept. Like Selland's restaurants in downtown Sacramento, Ella, and Selland's Market Cafe in East Sacramento, the focus is on fresh ingredients.
Only One Seating Per Evening at The Kitchen
Although I hear … (9 comments)
