Construction of the first homes began in the late 1960’s and continued through 1985. These neighborhoods offer homes ranging from approx 1300 to over 2000 square feet with ¼ to approx ½ acre home sites.

FHA STRUCTURAL INSPECTION ON MOBILE HOMES AND MANUFACTURED HOMES WHERE BUYER IS SEEKING FHA OR VA FINANCING I recently sold a mobile home where financing was a factor. Recently we were stopped dead in our tracks when the underwriter called for a structural/engineering inspection and needed an Engineer Foundation Certificate. Underwriting requires that the home must be placed on a permanent foundation per FHA Structural Inspection requirements and the HUD Permanent Foundations Guide. A recent trend, inspections of this type are being required even on conventional loans. The cost for the inspection was $300.00 and the certificate was $150.00.
