I live in the Oak Hill subdivision of Nashville Tn, close to David Lipscomb University. My Davidson County house was built in the 1940's. A lot of the homes in my neighborhood and on Glendale Lane have small barns and/or potting sheds in the backyard. Because my Glendale Lane home is an older one, there are a LOT of projects that I have been wanting to do. One of these "fixing up" projects was to paint my house. I absolutely LOVE my neighborhood - the Green Hills / David Lipscomb Area of Nashville is a great place to call home! I do know, however, that this neighborhood has a 10% turnover rate each year (based on data from the past ten years), so people are flying in and out of here all the time!

Oh the Zero Lot Line Home. The war rages over the pros and cons of these newer homes. On the positive side, a zero lot line home is EXTREMELY environmentally friendly. Using land that is already developed and dividing it in two allows for more density of people in a smaller space instead of building out further, which disturbs virgin and previously "unimproved" land. We have to clear trees (which contributes to more global warming) and put in our underground utilities, ruffling the feathers of our precious ecological system.
