I think that once upon a time I ate at a Pei Wei Restaurant in Southern California. But this Asian restaurant has also made its appearance in the Middle Tennessee area - I know there is one in Brentwood and Murfreesboro, most likely in other areas as well.
The Pei Wei that I am writing about is in the new Hill Shopping Center, just across the way from Whole Foods in Green Hills.
To me, it's just a standard Asian fusion type of restaurant and you can get something quick for around $10 in Nashville, which is nice.

It is an ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE to write this blog on Shalimar!!!
Shalimar is an Indian Restaurant in the Green Hills area of Nashville, Tennessee. I have been eating at Shalimar for well over ten years and am totally in love with the place!
One of my Indian friends swears that it is actually more of a northern Indian / Pakistan type of food place - me, I wouldn't know the difference! All I know is that they regularly serve up some of the yummiest ethnic food in Nashville!

Does anyone out there NOT know about Maggie Moo's?
When I was in college in Louisiana, we had this place called the Marble Slab - it was the first that I remember of these kinds of ice cream stores. I was a poor college student, so a venture to the Marble Slab was quite a treat!

I wanted to let everybody know that Whole Foods (also affectionately called "Whole Paycheck" by me and a couple of gals) has got nice looking pumpkins 3 for $13 right now. Kind of throws my "Whole Paycheck" joke back in my face :)
Whole Foods, Nashville style is located in Green Hills in the new Hill Center shopping area. It offers organic products of all types, from food to clothing. That's right. Get your darling hemp dress here! I got a killer pair of hemp mary jane shoes with cork buttons and recycled rubber tire soles - love 'em!

I absolutely LOVE my neighborhood - the Green Hills / David Lipscomb Area of Nashville is a great place to call home!
I do know, however, that this neighborhood has a 10% turnover rate each year (based on data from the past ten years), so people are flying in and out of here all the time!
That being said, if you are one of those who is ready to sell your Lipscomb Area home, what can you reasonably expect to get for it?

Oh the Zero Lot Line Home. The war rages over the pros and cons of these newer homes.
On the positive side, a zero lot line home is EXTREMELY environmentally friendly. Using land that is already developed and dividing it in two allows for more density of people in a smaller space instead of building out further, which disturbs virgin and previously "unimproved" land. We have to clear trees (which contributes to more global warming) and put in our underground utilities, ruffling the feathers of our precious ecological system.
